Strict test mode
If your teacher has switched on strict test mode for your batch, the instructions page says so, and the test starts with a screen that explains the rules.
- On the website the test runs in full screen. Select Go full screen and continue to begin.
- In the Android app the app is locked to the screen until you submit. Your phone asks you to agree: tap Got it.
- Going to another tab, window or app, leaving full screen, or unlocking the screen covers the test with a message and is recorded for your teacher, with the time. Select Return to the test to carry on.
- As on every paper, copying, printing and (in the app) screenshots are switched off (see Take the paper). In strict mode, trying to copy, paste or print is also recorded.
- The test can be open in one window on one device. A second one shows "This test is open in another window" until the first is closed.
Strict mode never ends your test and never changes your marks. Your answers stay saved.
Note: Before a strict test, close other tabs, programs and chat windows, and switch off notifications that pop up. An incident is recorded even when you left by accident.
