Delete your myedubuddy account

In the Android app

1. Open myedubuddy and sign in.
2. Open Profile and select Delete my account.
3. Read what will be deleted, type your password and confirm.

On the website

1. Log in at myedubuddy.com.
2. Open your Profile (from the menu under your name) and find Delete account.
3. Type your password and confirm.

If you cannot sign in

Email admin@myedubuddy.com from the email address of your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. To protect your account we may ask you to confirm it is you. We delete it within 30 days. You can also first try resetting your password.

What is deleted

As soon as you confirm, everything personal in your account is deleted:

• your name, email address, mobile number, password and profile details;
• the papers you took, your answers, scores and results, and your enrolments;
• homework you handed in and its photos and files, and your quiz scores;
• your reactions, notifications, sign-in sessions and two-step sign-in codes;
• your place in any classroom batch.

What stays, without your name

• Messages you wrote in a classroom stay, so other people's conversations still make sense. They are shown as written by “Deleted student” (or “Former teacher”).
• For teachers: the homework, notes, quizzes and posts you shared stay in the classroom under “Former teacher”, because the class relies on them. The classroom's administrator can remove them.
• Security records of what happened in the account (for example, that it was deleted), without your name or email.
• Payment records, if you ever paid, for as long as tax and accounting laws require.

Backups

Copies of the database in our backups are kept for up to 90 days and then removed for good. They are used only to restore the service after a failure.
