The short version
- Students under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent, and the parent or guardian accepts these terms for them.
- One account per person. Keep your password private and don't let anyone else take tests for you.
- Each test runs on a server-side timer and is submitted automatically when time is up.
- Don't copy or share our questions, and don't use bots or tricks. We may cancel results that break these rules.
- In a classroom, messages are seen by your whole batch, and what you post is your responsibility.
- Strict test mode, when a teacher switches it on, records when you leave the test screen. It warns; it does not end your test.
- myedubuddy is a practice platform, not connected with any exam-conducting body. Our scores don't predict real exam results.
- Paid series can be refunded within 7 days if you haven't started a test.
This summary is here to help. The full text below is what applies.
1. About these terms
myedubuddy is an online test series platform run by Anveshak Technology & Knowledge Solutions (“we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply whenever you visit our website, create an account, enrol in a test series, take a test, use a classroom or use our Android app (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
When you sign up, you tick a box to say you have read and agree to both. We keep a record of the date and of the version you agreed to. If a coaching class or myedubuddy created your account for you, you agree to them by logging in and choosing your password.
2. Who can use myedubuddy
Anyone preparing for an exam can use myedubuddy, including school students.
If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian accepts these Terms on the student's behalf and is responsible for the student's use of the Service, including any purchases.
Parents and guardians: by allowing a child to register, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you consent to us processing their information as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your account
- Give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date on your Profile page.
- Each account is for one person. Don't share your account or let anyone else take tests on it.
- If a coaching class created your account, you receive a temporary password and must choose your own the first time you log in. A teacher of that class can give you a new temporary password if you forget it, and can remove you from the batch.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account unless it happened because of a failure on our side.
- If you think someone else has used your account, reset your password straight away (this signs out every device) and tell us at admin@myedubuddy.com.
4. Test series, enrolment and payments
Free test series are available to any registered student. Once you enrol, you can take the tests in that series while the series is offered on the Service.
Paid test series
- The price, in Indian rupees and including applicable taxes, is shown before you pay.
- Payments are processed by our payment partner (currently Razorpay). Your card, UPI or bank details go directly to them; we don't see or store them.
- You can ask for a full refund within 7 days of purchase if you haven't started any test in that series. After you've started a test, fees are non-refundable, except where required by law or if we are unable to provide the series you paid for.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–7 working days of approval.
We may add, change or retire tests within a series to keep it accurate and up to date. If we withdraw a paid series before you've been able to use it, we'll offer a refund for the unused part.
5. Taking tests
- Each test can be attempted once, unless the test says otherwise.
- The timer runs on our servers and starts when you click Start test. Closing the tab, losing your connection or switching devices does not pause it.
- When time runs out, your test is submitted automatically with the answers saved so far.
- We try to keep the Service running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will never be interrupted. If a technical problem on our side affects your attempt, contact us and we'll look into it. Where it's fair to do so, we may reset the attempt.
6. Classrooms
A coaching class can run a private classroom on myedubuddy. Its teachers share homework, notes, posts, quizzes and calendar dates with their batches, and students hand in work, take quizzes, react and write messages.
- What you post is yours, and you are responsible for it. You allow us to store it and show it to the members of the batch or classroom it was shared with.
- Messages are seen by everyone the post was shared with. Don't write anything private, unkind, unlawful or unrelated to the class, and don't post other people's personal details.
- Hand in only your own work. Upload only photos and PDFs you have the right to share.
- Teachers: share only material you have the right to use, and get permission from parents or guardians before sharing photos that show students. You are responsible for adding to a batch only students whose parents or guardians have agreed.
- A teacher can delete any message on their class's posts and can delete their own posts, which removes the files, messages and handed-in work that belong to them. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.
- A classroom has a number of seats agreed with the coaching class. The arrangement between a student and their coaching class, including any fees, is between them; we are not a party to it.
7. Strict test mode
A teacher can switch on strict test mode for a batch. You are told before the test starts. While it is on:
- the test runs in full screen on the website, and the Android app is locked to the screen until you submit;
- copy, paste, right-click, printing and (in the app) screenshots are switched off;
- the test can be open in one window on one device at a time;
- each time you leave the test screen, leave full screen, unlock the screen or try one of the things that are switched off, it is recorded with the time and shown to your teachers and to myedubuddy staff.
Strict mode warns and records; it does not end your test or change your marks by itself. It uses no camera or microphone and does not look at your other apps or files (see our Privacy Policy). An incident can be recorded when you left by accident, for example because a notification opened. What a teacher does with the record is for the teacher and the coaching class to decide.
Strict mode shows what a browser or the app can see. It cannot see a second device or another person in the room, so we do not promise that it prevents or detects all cheating.
8. Fair use and things you must not do
To keep results meaningful for everyone, you agree not to:
- let another person take a test for you, or take a test for someone else;
- copy, screenshot, record, publish or share questions, answers or explanations, including in groups, forums or other apps;
- use bots, scripts or other automated tools to access the Service or take tests;
- try to get around strict test mode, or change the page or the app to hide what you do during a test;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or parts of the Service you aren't meant to reach;
- interfere with the Service, overload it, or look for and exploit security weaknesses (if you find one, please report it to us instead);
- use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful or misleading.
If we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, we may cancel the affected results and suspend or close the account (see Suspension and closing your account).
9. Results, rankings and exam outcomes
Scores and accuracy are calculated automatically, using the marking scheme shown for each test. Where a test shows a rank or percentile, it compares your score with other students who took the same test.
myedubuddy is an independent practice platform. It is not run by, affiliated with or endorsed by any exam-conducting body, including the organisers of the Dr. Homi Bhabha Balvaidnyanik Competition or any other exam we offer practice for. Exam names are used only to describe what a test series helps you prepare for.
Our tests are for practice. A score or rank on myedubuddy doesn't guarantee, predict or affect your result in any real exam.
We check our questions carefully, but mistakes can happen. If you think a question, answer key or explanation is wrong, write to admin@myedubuddy.com with the test name and question number. If we confirm an error, we may correct it and recalculate affected results.
10. Our content
Questions, answer keys, explanations, diagrams, images, text, logos and software on the Service belong to us or to people who have licensed them to us. They are protected by copyright and other laws.
We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive permission to use this content for your own exam preparation while your account is active. You may not copy, sell, rent, republish, distribute or build another product from it without our written permission.
11. Changes to the Service
We keep improving myedubuddy, so features, tests and series may change over time. We may also pause the Service for maintenance. We'll try to give notice of significant changes that affect paid series you've bought.
12. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop using the Service at any time. To close your account and delete your data, email admin@myedubuddy.com (see the Privacy Policy for what we keep and why).
We may suspend or close an account if it breaks these Terms, if we're required to by law, or to protect other users or the Service. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close an account without fault on your part, we'll refund the unused part of any paid series.
13. Disclaimers and limits on our liability
We provide the Service with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, it is provided “as is”, without promises that it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control, such as internet outages. Our total liability to you for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If a change is significant, we'll let you know on the website or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. If a dispute comes up, please contact us first; most issues can be solved quickly. If it can't be resolved, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra will have jurisdiction. This doesn't affect your right to approach a consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
